Morisaki Shoten is a secondhand bookstore specializing in modern literature in Jimbocho, the town of books. The store, run by Takako's uncle Satoru, was once a place that healed her heart when she was in the depths of despair. Momoko, Satoru's wife, who had temporarily left the family, came to help out at the store, and Takako also visited the store on her days off. Takako's relationship with Wada, whom she met at the store, was going well, but one day she saw him meeting an old lover at the coffee shop.
